We sponsor an adult discussion group which meets most Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm. in the Chapel.
The group is led by our Pastors and some of our Pastors in Residence on a rotating basis. Using a true discussion format the members of the group pick the upcoming subjects. The separate subject matter will usually last between four and six weeks. The group will then pick a new subject for discussion. We have covered a wide range of subjects: Parables, Job, Elijah, Christian Basics by Dorothy and Gabriel Fackre, The Psalms, studied Advent and Lent using Handel’s Messiah, and learned more about Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible by Liz Curtis Higgs.
The group discusses Biblically based theological subjects with a constant emphasis on how these Biblical truths guide and affect the current reality of our lives.
Through intentional Bible and book studies the group explores the Church’s purpose in everyday life. This group seeks to deepen its understanding of what it means to be a Christian in today’s world.
